If I wasn’t already a huge fan of this author, I would’ve grabbed this one for the cover alone. Hendrix described this book as “Beaches meets The Exorcist”, and that’s exactly what he delivers. It has all the thrills of a summer horror flick and the energy of an 80s pop song. A nonstop roller-coaster of teenage angst and grotesque body horror, but with a heartwarming ode to friendship at its centre.
