Summer is here! The days are long. The cherries are ripe. And the hot sun hangs high in the sky . . .

Early in the morning, Bird and Spider try to beat the heat in Bird's fancy nest, but it's still too hot to handle. All of a sudden, they hear cries for help! Soon, they find a friendly worm stuck in the sun. Bird and Spider provide some shade so Worm can get all slimy and healthy again. Everyone knows an early bird catches the worm . . . but will that prove true for friendship too?
